Join Qantas in our brand-new Product Innovation Centre located in Adelaide to help us ensure consumer needs are met by embedding robust testing strategies and automation practices that uphold software reliability, performance, and security. Deliver seamless, high-quality digital experiences that build customer trust and satisfaction.

A Quality Engineer is responsible for testing Qantas’ applications, as well as building out our test automation infrastructure and contributing to the continuous development of automation scripts, suite, improving and building CI infrastructure. You’ll be empowered to determine and implement the best solutions. Additionally, you will also be exploring non-functional testing, including accessibility, performance, and security, and improving on testing tools and test approach.

Coordinate with team members to create automated test cases and analyse and resolve test failures.

• 3+ years in enterprise QA roles, with direct relevant experience in automation testing for mobile and mobile back-end APIs
• A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Experience in BDD, CI, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS
• Skilled in test strategy, automation, and functional testing (unit, integration, E2E, UAT)
• Familiarity with accessibility standards for mobile apps and testing thereof
• Familiarity with mobile security best practices vulnerability scanning
• Strategies to recognise and deal with device and operating system fragmentation and ensure adequate test coverage
• Proficient in mobile app automation, cross-browser testing, and container technologies
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills, using tools like Miro, Jira and Confluence
