Job Description:
JOB SUMMARYThis role is an integral member of an agile scrum team responsible for writing, executing, analyzing and testing our software products to build scalable applications across all digital channels. The incumbent will take a software quality and customer view of solutions so developers can build high‑quality applications that meet product vision. Responsibilities include business analysis, UX design, rigorous testing, CI/CD refinement, code review, manual testing, and mentoring junior test engineers.
ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements; write test case and test plan documents that meet SOC2 standards; perform peer reviews of testing artifacts; create, manipulate, and maintain test data; mentor junior testers.
- Generate business rules and contribute to the evolving product backlog; attend release activities; coordinate release‑night tasks for the department.
- Participate in all scrum ceremonies; assist sprint planning; create and update tasks in RTC or Jira; monitor progress against schedule; report issues or impediments to senior analysts.
- Develop and execute test automation code as part of ongoing regression testing standards using Java, Selenium, Appium, and cloud build & delivery processes; refine CI/CD, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior automation engineers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or closely related field. - Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or Healthcare Administration.
- Required:
5 years of writing test artifacts that adhere to SOC2 standards. - Required:
1 year of developing test automation software according to coding and industry best practices. - Required:
1 year of mentoring junior Test Engineers at some levels of job responsibility. - Preferred: 5 years of developing test automation software according to industry best practices.
- Preferred: 3 years of leadership experience driving outcomes and setting standards for others.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working with agile methodology (scrum).
- Fluent English speaking and writing.
- Knowledge of full software development life cycle best practices.
- Track record designing and implementing large‑scale consumer‑facing applications.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Passion for user experience and improving usability.
- Willingness to mentor junior team members and help develop their skills and leadership.
