Position: Workers' Compensation Account Manager

The Account Manager provides technical underwriting support for assigned accounts/agencies within the team. This person will work a hybrid schedule in our Lees Summit office or remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate with agents, brokers, underwriters, internal staff, and management to obtain additional information, quote rates, present proposals, and coverage offerings, as well as service existing accounts.
  • Assist brokers, staff, and other internal departments in resolving problems and questions, and help develop and implement new marketing strategies.
  • Respond in a timely manner to questions posed by brokers, clients, underwriters, and other team members.
  • Rate policies, endorsements, etc., or review previously rated policies for proper rating. Knowledge of rating manuals and application of same is required.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals for broker/clients and assist underwriters by answering or fielding questions from broker clients and company personnel.
  • Enter and/or research information in the company agency management system and apply this information in accordance with department workflow procedures.
  • Request additional information from brokers necessary for the proper processing of applications, endorsements, and cancellations, including any underwriting‑related reports from external sources. Perform routine follow‑ups and referrals as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of similar related job experience.
  • Ability to pursue entry‑level insurance‑related courses to enhance knowledge of insurance coverages and advance within the organization.
