We are seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Associate with approximately 5 years of litigation experience to join our Omaha office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with clients, and grow within a collaborative and well‑established practice.
Responsibilities- Manage all phases of civil defense litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial and appeal.
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Handle written discovery and case strategy development.
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing with the Nebraska Bar (or ability to obtain promptly).
- Approximately 5 years of civil defense litigation experience.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience handling cases with a high degree of autonomy.
- Trial experience is a plus.
