Job Description & How to Apply Below
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM with a 1-hour break
- Remaining 16 hours split between Friday and Monday
- Friday shifts end by 6:00 PM
- Monday shift begins by 8:00 AM
- Schedule is designed to provide seamless handoffs with the weekday team
- Keep loads moving by booking and covering time-sensitive freight
- Monitor shipments for on-time pickups and deliveries
- Maintain accurate load and shipment information in Mc Leod
- Respond to carrier communications via phone, email, Chain, and other platforms
- Handle time-sensitive quotes through Parade
- Monitor shared tracking and team inboxes
- Resolve issues including no-shows, late arrivals, carrier requests, and rescheduling
- Identify and escalation issues that may impact next-day operations
- Prepare clear handoff notes and shift summaries
- Provide backup support for tracking and brokering until the weekday team takes over
- Use sound judgment to make timely decisions and escape major operational or rate-related issues when needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
- Calm, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
- Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to assess incomplete or conflicting information and determine the appropriate course of action
- Freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation experience
- Experience with McLeod, Parade, Highway, Chain, or similar systems
- Experience with food, refrigerated, or agricultural freight
- Experience working in high-volume, time-sensitive environments
