The Business Manager drives safety, service, people, regulatory, customer, and financial performance while managing terminal support teams and championing continuous improvement. With strong airline customer engagement and a focus on operational excellence, the Business Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high quality, efficient service across Domestic and International Freight operations.
You’llhave:
- Strong analytical andsolutionsfocusedapproach, delivering results within requiredtimeframes, including managing noncompliance matters.
- Working knowledge and practical experience in IR processes, including consultation and negotiation with union representatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix management environment, with strong consultation, negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Proven project management experience
- Proven customerandstakeholder engagement experience.
- Experience leading and implementing change initiatives.
- Experience with Qantas support groups (GSE, Property, Security)
- Knowledge and experience dealing with Govt regulatory organisations (ABF, CASA, DAFF, AFP)
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that support business objectives.
- Sound judgement with the ability to balance customer needs with business priorities.
- Proficiency in standard business software and systems.
- Previous airline or freight industry experience (desirable).
- Highlevelcommunication skills with the ability to influence and gain cooperation.
- Musthold an ASIC andhavetheability tohold anairside driver licence.
