The Senior Manager, EHS (North America) serves as the regional authority for all environmental, health, and safety strategy, governance, and risk management across the company’s North American operations. This leader is responsible and accountable for ensuring that the region achieves RB Global’s requirements for regulatory compliance, operational integrity, and corporate responsibility. This role will provide day‑to‑day direction and leadership to the region, and promote a culture of safety and environmental excellence throughout the organization.
The Senior Manager, EHS (North America) will help to shape regional EHS direction, will influence enterprise‑level EHS decision‑making, and will partner with the VP, Real Estate and EHS to embed EHS excellence into business strategy, capital planning, and operational execution. The expertise and insights from this leader will be essential in identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Environmental, Health and Safety area.
Acting as a key contributor to RB Global’s company‑wide EHS vision, this leader will help to drive transformational improvements, mitigate enterprise risk, and strengthen the company’s reputation as a responsible and sustainable operator.
- 10+ years of progressive ESH experience, including leadership of complex, multi‑side North American operations.
- Strong grasp of performance management, KPIs, leading indicators, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. and Canadian EHS regulations, standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to synthesize large sets of operational and compliance data into actionable insights.
- Experience working in a publicly traded company or highly regulated global organization.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive accountability.
- Skilled at influencing behaviors, mindsets, and leadership practices at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high‑performing EHS teams.
- Strong capabilities in succession planning, capability building, and team alignment.
- Strong judgment in ambiguous, time‑sensitive scenarios.
- Calm, decisive leadership during incidents, regulatory pressures, or high‑risk situations.
- Define and execute the North American EHS strategy aligned with global priorities. Translate corporate objectives into regional plans with measurable performance outcomes. 10%
- Ensure full compliance with U.S. and Canadian EHS regulations across all sites. Maintain governance systems to monitor risk, regulatory changes, and required corrective actions. 10%
- Oversee air, water, waste, chemical, and hazardous materials permitting and reporting. Ensure adherence to environmental management systems and corporate sustainability requirements. 10%
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to evaluate compliance with environmental, health, safety and security standards and identify areas for improvement. 10%
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting employee engagement, awareness, and training programs to enhance safety performance and reduce workplace incidents. 10%
- Develop and manage regional EHS KPIs, dashboards, and leading indicators. Ensure accuracy of EHS data for regulatory filings, ESG disclosures, and executive reporting. 10%
