Concrete Industries, Inc. is looking for a high performing CNC Operator/Machine Operator to join our Steel Division. The individual will operate the beam line computer numerical control machine, overhead crane and saw, while abiding by the Company Safety Program and policies. Reliable attendance is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Abides by OSHA and Concrete Industries safety policies and regulations.
- Daily operation of the saw along with preventive maintenance for the machine.
- Loads and unloads machine with a 5‑ton overhead crane; checks dimensions of the parts before and after cutting.
- Daily operation of the beam line computer numerical control machine along with preventive maintenance for the machine.
- Performs tool exchange and replaces consumables.
- Assists other areas (repair/maintenance in the plant area, yard clean‑up, etc.) when workload is light.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Some computer numerical control experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule during busy season and able to work late or irregular hours.
- Previous knowledge of CNC machines with ability to solve mechanical problems associated with the position and equipment.
- Understands and maintains the internal and external customer service responsibilities of the position.
- Must have a good understanding of computers and be computer literate with ability to learn/use the program that operates the CNC machine.
- Experience in Word and Excel helpful.
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds to shoulder height.
