Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Extern position at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This role provides hands‑on clinical experience for nursing students within the RN Student Nurse Externship.

Pay range: $25.10/hr – $33.62/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

• Record and update patient information during all stages of care, including vitals and intake/outlet data.
• Document observations and report changes in patient condition promptly.
• Assist with patient mobility, positioning, and ambulation using assistive devices.
• Provide non‑medicated support care, collect specimens for diagnostic testing, and prepare patients for surgery or other procedures.
• Help with patient transfers and discharge processes.

• Active enrollment in an accredited BSN or ADN (RN) nursing program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Interest in gaining clinical experience while attending academic program.
