We are currently seeking a Resident Engagement (Activities) Assistant for the Lee's Summit Community who is passionate about making a difference.

• High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required
• Must clear a criminal background check, a physical and drug screening
• This role requires a valid driver s license and a good driving record as a condition of employment. Associates must comply with all state and federal driving regulations
• Associates in roles requiring driving are responsible for maintaining a valid and active driver s license. Failure to maintain a valid license may result in reassignment, suspension, or termination in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including dogs, cats, and birds
• Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer s disease and other dementia-related diseases
• Previous experience working with older adults and/or memory-impairing diseases is desirable

• Assist the Director of Resident Engagement with planning and implementation of resident activity programs daily
• Organize and lead daily memory enrichment activities with a small group of residents
• Encourage resident participation in activities and celebrate their achievements
• Prepare background materials and conduct relevant research for activities and recreational programs
• Assist with music and occupational therapy for residents

Anticipated pay range: $18 - $20 USD per hour
