Full-Time Days-Registered Nurse (RN) – Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Eventide-Tabitha is currently hiring for a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (12 hours). This position includes every third weekend and holiday rotation.
Ideal Candidate- At least 18 years old.
- Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred.
- RN or LPN license in good standing on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required. CPR required. Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the employee’s expense. Must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.
Job Duties
- Follows through on physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures. Receives and records physician’s orders when appropriate.
- Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observes seniors/clients for any sign of adverse reactions to medications.
- Assesses seniors/clients assigned to her/him in regard to physical, mental and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes in a timely manner to immediate supervisor and providing follow‑up with family and physician as directed. Takes and accurately records vital signs.
- Diligently observes senior/client skin per Tabitha policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
- Completes procedures and documents the appropriate information on the senior/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures. Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
- Provides direction and monitors Medication Aides who are delivering medications to seniors/clients. Follows through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
- Provides supervision and education to seniors/clients for self‑administration of medications. When applicable, assists in teaching the senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the senior/client to return to his/her home.
- Assists in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care. Updates the plan based on changes in the senior/client physical and/or emotional state.
