Full-Time RN/LPN – Day Shift Opportunity (Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center)

Eventide-Tabitha is currently hiring for a Full‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a day shift 6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. (12 Hours). This position includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities
  • Follows through on physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures. If appropriate, receives and records physician’s orders.
  • Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observes Senior/client, watching for any sign of adverse reaction to medications.
  • Assesses seniors/clients assigned to him/her in regard to physical, mental and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes in a timely manner to immediate supervisor and provides follow‑up with family and physician as directed. Takes and accurately records vital signs.
  • Diligently observes Senior/client skin per Tabitha policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
  • Completes procedures and documents the appropriate information on the Senior’s/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures. With particular attention to accuracy and timeliness, follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
  • Provides direction and monitors Med Aides who are delivering medications to Seniors/clients. Follows through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual Senior/client.
  • Provides supervision and education to Seniors/clients for the self‑administration of medications. When applicable, assists in teaching the Senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the Senior/client to return to his/her home.
  • Assists in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care. Updates the plan based on changes in the Senior/client physical and/or emotional state.
Requirements
  • At least age 18.
  • Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred.
  • RN or LPN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required. CPR Required. Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee. Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements.
