Responsibilities
  • Performing detailed patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests and creating customized care plans
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions-a collaborative or independent approach based on your credentials
  • Informing patients and families on preventative measures, wellness, and effective disease management
  • Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope
  • Participating in ongoing patient follow-up and chronic disease management
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, coordinated care
  • Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Nebraska
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or related specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within a 90-day timeframe)
