Project & Contract Manager

Location: Lancaster, UK
Contract: 9 months
Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

Our client is a local authority seeking an experienced Project/Contract Manager to support a portfolio of property-related projects within a conservation and heritage environment.

The successful candidate will have experience managing projects and contracts across large property portfolios, with a strong understanding of conservation and heritage requirements. Experience with in local government will be highly beneficial.

You will be responsible for managing projects and associated contracts across a substantial property portfolio, ensuring work is delivered effectively, safely and in line with relevant standards and requirements.

The role will involve working with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders to coordinate works, monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered to the required standard.

• Manage property-related projects and contracts from planning through to completion
• Coordinate contractors and external suppliers, monitoring delivery and performance
• Manage projects across large property portfolios, including portfolios of approximately 20,000 to 500,000 properties
• Oversee roofing and associated property works
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed requirements, timescales and standards
• Monitor contractor performance and address issues where required
• Work with internal stakeholders and external contractors to coordinate project activity
• Support the identification and management of project risks
• Apply appropriate health and safety considerations throughout project delivery
