Job DescriptionThe Analytical Scientist is a lab‑based role focused on supporting biopharmaceutical and vaccine product development and characterization. Key duties include initiating analytical testing, developing analytical methods (HPLC, LC‑MS, electrophoresis, spectrophotometry, microplate‑based assays), purifying and characterizing monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, performing aseptic technique, cell‑based assays, ELISA, RNA/DNA extractions, PCR, automated liquid handling, SDS‑PAGE and Western blot analysis. The scientist will design and execute study protocols, analyze data, maintain accurate notebooks, and demonstrate strong laboratory safety awareness.
- Initiate analytical testing to support biopharmaceutical and vaccine development.
- Develop analytical methods including HPLC, LC‑MS, electrophoresis, spectrophotometry, and microplate‑based assays.
- Purify and characterize polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies.
- Perform aseptic technique, cell‑based assays, ELISA, RNA/DNA extractions, PCR, and advanced instrumentation.
- Maintain detailed records, design protocols, and prepare reports and presentations.
- Analyze and interpret scientific data, ensuring rigorous quality control.
- BS/BA in chemistry, biochemistry, biological sciences, veterinary science, or a related discipline with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: MS in chemistry, biochemistry, biological sciences, veterinary science with laboratory experience in analytical development.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Deep understanding of biochemistry and immunology; proven ability to develop analytical assays.
- Experience in cell‑based assay and ELISA development.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Lincoln, NE are encouraged to apply.
