Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail & Store Manager

This keyholder role assists the store management in executing all store activities, fostering guest loyalty, and maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment.
Responsibilities- Provide best-in‑class guest service: greet guests, answer questions, recommend items, and express gratitude for choosing Game Stop.
- Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS computer system.
- Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, ensuring top‑notch service.
- Promote Game Stop’s unique guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
- Ensure store areas, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines.
- Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily.
- Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.
- Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise on shelves and fixtures, and move products from the stock room to the front of the store.
- Support management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties.
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system.
- Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages and record any discrepancies in the POS system.
- Process defectives/recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly.
- Visually inspect associates' and leaders' packages and/or belongings at store closing or at the end of a shift.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Observe associate performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback to store management.
- Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

- Problem‑solving skills and judgment abilities.
- Follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Deliver bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines.
- Work a flexible schedule, including extended hours/days as necessary, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Minimum of 3 days per week availability.
- Remain effective under pressure and handle stress in a manner acceptable to others and the organization.
- Lift merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs. from ground level to a minimum height of 4 feet.
- Stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
Full‑time store positions are eligible to participate in incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may also be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentives.
Compensation$15.50 – $18.25 per hour
