The Black/African American Advocate Specialist will use a strength-based approach toprovide academic and cultural support to Black/African Americanstudents/families and school staff whilepromotingan understandingofstudentperspectivesand assisting with integrating school and family goals forthegreatestacademicsuccess ofthe student.
The Black/African American Advocate will have related cultural experience and be a contributing member of the Youth Development Team serving allLPS schools. Teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility are required.
Bachelor’s Degree required in Education, Human Services, or related field preferred.
Experience working with students and/or families of diverse backgrounds preferred.
Salary: $21.08 Hourly
Calendar: 260-day / 8 hrs
