As a Sr. Software Developer, you will serve as a technical leader in our Software Engineering Department and play a key role in developing industry-leading software for our customers. You are responsible for developing and testing complex technical and architectural solutions that support Bank Solutions product strategies and address market needs in an Agile environment. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, applying your knowledge to solve new market problems and leading complex applications while helping develop technical and functional standards.
Responsibilities- Lead development of complex applications and assist in developing technical and functional standards.
- Develop and test technical and architectural solutions that support product strategies in an Agile environment.
- Apply knowledge to solve a variety of market problems across projects.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure scalable, reliable, usable, and secure software solutions.
- An associate’s degree in computer programming or related discipline is required; a Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in application development.
- Experience with iSeries, Unisys, and/or other mainframe technologies.
- Experience with mainframe development languages such as COBOL.
- Experience with C programming.
- Experience with source management tools including Git or similar tools.
- Agile and/or Dev Ops experience.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, development, data modeling, and SOLID principles.
- Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and automated functional testing using tools like UFT, Postman, and Selenium.
- Ability to resolve architectural problems including scalability, performance, reliability, usability, and security.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between software and hardware interaction.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on highly complex projects within tight timelines and clearly communicate complex technical specifications.
- Financial industry interest and experience is beneficial.
