The team you will join:
Alpine Money Movement

The Alpine Money Movement team is a brand new, high-impact crew focused on delivering the quickest, most convenient, and cheapest money transfers across Switzerland and the Nordic region.

Our Focus & Impact:

  • Building Direct Access:
    We work on new direct integrations with local payment systems. Your focus will be on launching high-impact direct access first for Swiss Franc (CHF) and Swedish Krona (SEK).
  • Operational Excellence:
    Maintain, scale, and optimise existing infrastructure. You’ll work to constantly reduce risk and improve system resilience, collaborating with operations and banking teams to drive efficiency and low costs.
  • Global Relocator

    Experience:

    Contribute to the company's worldwide mission of building the #1 account for international relocators, building features that make the financial transition to any new country seamless for customers globally.

Qualifications

What does it take?

  • 5+ years of experience in Java, Kotlin or other JVM based language, experience with Spring framework and deep understanding of JDBC and database internals.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and distributed and concurrent systems.
  • A strong product mindset and passion for user experience; you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data‑driven decisions to fix customer pain‑points.
  • Being able to work independently on customer problems is key to success – you take responsibility and end‑to‑end ownership of your projects.
  • Close collaboration with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers and other product teams is a must‑have and happens daily.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to a non‑technical audience.
  • Experience working with relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas.
  • You enjoy writing testable code.
  • You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback.
