The Catering Delivery Driver is an integral member of the catering team.

In this role you will:

• Safely operate the catering box truck, or other University vehicles in all weather conditions.
• Oversee and execute the pickup, drop off and delivery of food, materials, and equipment necessary for events.
• Support the culinary and front of house teams with operational assistance, including food preparation, dishwashing, event set up, tear down, and clean up.
• Ensure the Catering vehicles are following proper maintenance schedules in accordance with University protocols.

Having a customer service focus, ability to utilize effective time management skills, and a strong attention to detail with high accuracy are vital to this position.

8th grade education and 3 years of driving with the ability to drive a box truck; equivalent education/experience considered. Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary. Flexibility, reliability, ability to communicate and be a team player essential. Accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.

Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirement and the ability to pass a DMV check authorizing them to operate university vehicles. Food Handlers Permit or ability to obtain upon employment required.

Experience driving a box truck. Experience working in a fast paced ever changing environment. Knowledge of University operations.

Posted Salary: $16.25/hr minimum
