Due to continuing growth our client is looking to recruit an experience Accounts Assistant to join their small team just west of Lincoln. This is an office-based role and will require transport due to the office location.
The company is within a group of 5 companies, and the combined turnover is £49m. You will be working on the accounts for all 5 companies.
Duties:- Sales ledger experience including raising customer invoices
- Purchase ledger experience including:
- Matching invoices to PO's & GRN's
- Nominal coding
- Batch processing
- Weekly and monthly payment runs
- Petty cash processing and reconciliation
- Bank reconciliations
- Good working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts
- A basic understanding of VAT legislation
- Knowledge of foreign currency transactions
- Experience of Microsoft packages particularly Excel, Word and Outlook essential
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years' recent experience in a varied accounts assistant role
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ad-hoc administrative duties as and when necessary
- A good awareness of deadlines and a calm manner are essential
- Experience of balance sheet reconciliations would be advantageous

- Basic hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm with including half an hour for lunch. There may be some flexibility with start and finish times.
- Starting salary dependent on experience £28 - £31k
