Job Summary
Reporting to the Agriculture Systems and Standards manager, this role will be accountable for providing effective administration support across our agriculture and Consumer Foods business, acting as a link between the Management, Agriculture, and Finance teams and managing a range of external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Administrative work for the Agriculture Systems and Standards Manager, including collation of information, preparing data, and communicating with our producer base as required.
- Ad hoc project work for the Agriculture Systems and Standards Manager.
- Creation and distribution of weekly and monthly reports to the relevant Management teams.
- Assist with Lion Code registrations for Noble, Bowler, and Lloyds on the BEIC database.
- Process and file passports, RSPCA Assured, Lion Code, and Organic certificates.
- Maintain derogation list for egg stamping and liaise with BEIC.
- Process audits such as Lion Code self‑audits, M&S audits, tree audits, farm visit reports, and ad hoc reports.
- Assist with antibiotic usage recording and liaise with veterinary practices to ensure all prescriptions have been received.
- Maintain Master Sheets to ensure compliance is captured.
- Process new producer contracts.
- Maintain electronic filing system.
- Order sundry items such as overalls, farm stamps, and kits when required.
- Process purchase orders and payments.
- Assist with RSPCA Assured applications, cease supply notices, and payments.
- Respond to queries from a range of stakeholders including the Packing Centres.
- Assist with Packing Centre traces when required.
- Maintain customer lists ensuring the most up‑to‑date information is captured and shared appropriately.
- Maintain salmonella spreadsheet with reminders for all producers and chase results as required.
- Produce new training certificates for all relevant producers.
- Oversee Modern Slavery Training coordination.
- Administer welfare outcome measures and update appropriate databases.
- Support with project work such as label printing for Ovovision.
- Maintain contractor list for company farms and ensure it is up to date.
- Ad hoc admin tasks.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Numerate and comfortable working with figures.
- Experience with all Microsoft Office packages.
- Effective communicator in both written and verbal scenarios.
- Able to build relationships at all levels.
- A flexible approach to work.
- Knowledge of the poultry industry (desirable).
- Has a can‑do attitude and works together with others to support all office functions.
- Self‑motivated and takes ownership of the quality and timeliness of their work.
- Courageous and challenges the status quo to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the role.
