At Steer Automotive Group, we don't just repair vehicles – we restore confidence. As one of the UK's fastest-growing accident repair businesses, we're looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our team.
If you have experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, Vehicle Estimator, Accident Repair Estimator, Bodyshop Estimator, or Automotive Damage Assessor, and you're passionate about delivering accurate estimates and outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
The RoleAs a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every repair is assessed accurately, costed efficiently, and managed through to completion. You'll work closely with technicians, insurers, parts teams, and customers to deliver an exceptional repair journey.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out thorough inspections and accurate assessments of accident-damaged vehicles
- Ensure repair methods comply with manufacturer and insurer standards
- Liaise with insurance engineers, customers, technicians, and parts teams throughout the repair process
- Monitor repairs and update estimates where required
- Complete all documentation accurately and within agreed service level agreements
- Help maximise workshop efficiency while maintaining exceptional quality standards
To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:
- ATA VDA accreditation (or be working towards achieving it)
- Experience using Audatex estimating software
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques and manufacturer repair methods
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- The ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced accident repair environment
- A full UK driving licence
