Operational Buyer

Overview

Operational Buyer role at Randstad Sourceright.

Location:

Lincoln (Hybrid). The position focuses on procurement excellence, cost management, and strategic supplier relationships within a fast-paced environment.

• Purchase Order Management: Take ownership of the complete PO lifecycle, including timely and accurate conversion of requisitions, review and approval of variations or amendments, and compliant final release documented in our systems.
• Sourcing and Execution: Participate in sourcing activities for medium-volume commodities and services, prepare and issue RFQs, conduct bid analysis, and make recommendations to stakeholders.
• Negotiation Leadership: Lead complex commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure maximum cost savings and favorable contractual terms, balancing quality, delivery, and price for overall value.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, SOPs, and governance within the ERP system (SAP). Maintain data integrity and process compliance.
• Stakeholder and Supplier Relationship Management: Act as primary liaison between Procurement and internal departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Engineering). Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews.
• Process Optimisation: Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve the P2P cycle, contributing to standardisation and global procurement best practices.

• High proficiency with SAP or similar systems
• Strong collaboration, ability to influence internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Excellent verbal and written communication, proven ability to lead negotiations and draft clear reports
