Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a busy operational environment? We're looking for a Weighbridge & Raw Material Administrator to join our team and play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of our mill operations.
Reporting to the Mill Manager, you'll be responsible for managing weighbridge activities, supporting raw material intake processes and providing essential administrative support across the site. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work closely with operational, technical and quality teams while contributing to the overall success of the business.
AboutThe Role
As the first point of contact for many deliveries and site activities, you'll ensure accurate recording of stock movements, maintain essential documentation and support site administration functions. You'll also work closely with quality and operational teams to help maintain high standards across the site.
This role offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of administration, data management and operational support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the site weighbridge and support raw material intake activities.
- Ensure all delivery and intake documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate stock records and reporting systems.
- Keep the weighbridge office maintained to required industry standards.
- Produce, complete and distribute routine reports.
- Support business systems including MTech, DSL and other databases.
- Provide general administrative support using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Attend meetings and training sessions, taking minutes where required.
- Assist with holiday and departmental cover as needed.
- Support the Quality Control team with sample organisation, in-house analysis and swabbing activities.
- Assist with audit preparation and completion.
- Support site training activities and maintain documentation including SOPs, Risk Assessments and Work Instructions.
- Work flexibly across the site to support operational requirements.
- Excellent communication, numeracy and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with databases, ERP systems or business systems.
- Confidence communicating with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
- The ability to interpret data and produce accurate reports.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to support the wider team.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with in the agriculture, feed or manufacturing sector.
- Previous use of MTech and DSL systems.
- Experience working in a quality, technical or compliance-focused environment.
- Understanding of stock management and raw material intake processes.
- Experience supporting audits and quality assurance activities.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- A methodical approach to administration and record-keeping.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Secondary school level education or equivalent experience.
