Position: Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor Lincoln - Permanent - Full Time

Background

R G Carter are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Lincoln working on projects ranging in value of £4 to £15 million. Applicants must have relevant experience as a QS in the construction industry. The role will involve working closely with the Delivery Team to efficiently plan and deliver a range of projects including newbuild and refurbishment across a various sectors.

To communicate effectively with all parties and look after our clients at all stages of the project to ensure efficient and professional delivery. A full driving licence is required, as the role will involve work-related travel to sites. Above all, the right skills and attitude are what we’re looking for, someone who is commercially astute, conscientious, works well in a team and can drive projects forward as well as develop good relationships with colleagues, clients and our supply chain.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Good organisation skills and work ethic
  • Computer skills – proficient on Microsoft Office packages and document management systems. Any experience with Bluebeam or 4 Projects would be beneficial but not essential (training can be provided).
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • A good ‘team player’, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication, presentation and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Experience

  • Must have knowledge of JCT and NEC form of contracts
  • Ideally a BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying and/or Commercial Management
