We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a structural alteration project at a Jobcentre in Lincoln. The project involves the demolition of an existing internal staircase, carried out in accordance with a Category 9 structural engineer's design, followed by the installation of a new external staircase. This is a live environment, so strong planning, coordination and health & safety management are essential.
Similar construction projects commonly involve structural demolition and replacement works delivered under strict safety controls.
- Managing all site activities from start to completion.
- Coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades.
- Ensuring all works comply with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
- Liaising with the client, structural engineer and project team.
- Managing site programmes, quality and daily progress.
- Completing site paperwork, RAMS reviews and daily records.
- Maintaining a safe and organised site throughout the project.

- Asbestos Awareness
- Previous experience managing structural alteration or refurbishment projects.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
