We are looking for an Architectural Technologist, based in Liverpool and/or Lincoln, to join our Kier Design business in providing design and other professional services across a range of sectors, predominantly the built environment, for public and private sector clients.
Location: Liverpool and/or Lincoln
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Responsibilities- Produce high‑quality, comprehensive sets of detailed drawings and specifications in REVIT enabling projects to be completed within agreed cost and budget parameters.
- Run projects on site and manage more junior members of the team.
- Evaluate and advise on environmental, legal and regulatory issues; contribute to planning applications and other regulatory processes; assess required surveys and feed results into the project.
- Prepare and present concept and detailed drawings using CAD methods; participate in the detailed design process and coordinate design information.
- Liaise with appropriate authorities when producing documentation for statutory approval.
- Contribute to design risk assessments, administer contracts and visit sites as required.
- Support local and national bids/sales, managing more junior members of the team, offering regional coverage of projects nationally.
- Competent use of REVIT, BIM and relevant IT/CAD software packages including AutoCAD, Twinmotion, Adobe Design Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel; relevant experience in education projects, blue light, MOD/MOJ.
- Use of NBS Create; knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts including full service, design and build.
- Regular use and familiarity of Autodesk products including 3D modelling and all relevant IT and CAD software packages.
