Job SummaryThis advert is for a part-time GP at the thriving practice located in the beautiful village of Saxilby. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled clinician passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a modern, forward-thinking General Practice environment. The practice consists of 1 GP Partner, 2 Salaried GPs, and 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners with an approximate patient list of 4100.

- Make yourself available in accordance with the practice timetable to undertake surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and handling paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred by other health care workers.
- Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
- Provide counselling and health education.
- Admit or discharge patients and refer to other care providers as appropriate.
- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Collect data for audit purposes.
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand‑written prescriptions whenever possible).
- Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever clinically appropriate.
- Undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
We are a friendly surgery committed to delivering excellent care to our patients and a positive working environment for our staff. The main surgery is based in Saxilby and we have a branch surgery in Torksey. We are a training practice working with training GPs and medical students.

- Contribute to the development, summarising and read‑coding of computer-based patient records.
- Attend training and events organised by the practice or other agencies where appropriate.
