Working in our Emergency Department and across our UEC ie SDEC.
Main duties of the jobLincoln County Hospital Lincoln County Hospital is situated in the uphill area of the city, close to the Cathedral. It is a large purpose-built modern District General Hospital, which provides a wide range of specialist clinical services. It has a complement of 557 beds.
There is a Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) which is located within the footfall of the Emergency Department at Lincoln and has the capacity to take 2 x trolley spaces, 2 x cohort spaces and 6 x chairs. This area is staffed by 2 x Registered Nurses and 1 x HCSW, 24 hours a day. All patients remain under the care of the Emergency Department.
Roles and Responsibilities Clinical duties- Assessment, management, referral and discharge of patients presenting to the Emergency Departments and Clinical Decision Units, seeking support where appropriate from senior clinical members.
- Collaborating with all members of the Emergency Department team and colleagues from other departments.
- Communicating effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Performing Rapid Assessment and Triage of patients who self-present and those brought by ambulance.
