General Practitioner (GP)

Job Summary Horncastle Medical Group is looking for an enthusiastic and committed General Practitioner to join our friendly, established and supportive team.

We are ideally seeking a GP to work 8 sessions per week, although part-time applications are very welcome and will be considered.

You will be joining an experienced multidisciplinary clinical team including 4 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a Paramedic and a Mental Health Practitioner, alongside our wider nursing, dispensing and administrative teams.

We are an established training practice, currently caring for 10,366 patients, and are CQC rated Good. We use Systm One and provide dispensing services on site.

This is an exciting time to join Horncastle Medical Group. Our surgery is based in a beautiful Old Vicarage, providing a distinctive and welcoming environment for both our patients and our team. We are also investing in the future of the practice, with expansion works currently in progress to create additional clinical rooms.

Main duties of the jobMain Duties of the Job As a GP at Horncastle Medical Group, you will provide high-quality general medical services to our registered patient population while working closely with our experienced multidisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Undertaking face-to-face, telephone and online consultations

Assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions

Prescribing and reviewing medication appropriately

Making referrals to secondary and community services where required

Supporting disease prevention, health promotion and long-term condition management

Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records using Systm One Working  collaboratively with our GP Partners, GPs ANPs, Paramedic, Mental Health Practitioner and wider clinical team Participating in clinical meetings, audit and quality-improvement activities

Contributing to the learning and development culture of our training practice

Contributing to the safe, effective and continued development of practice services

About us Horncastle Medical Group is an established training practice providing primary care to a current patient population of 10,366.We are CQC rated Good and have an experienced multidisciplinary team, including:4 GP Partners3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners Paramedic Mental  Health PractitionerA wider team of clinical and nursing professionals

An experienced dispensing and administrative team

We have dispensing facilities on site and use Systm One as our clinical system.

Our surgery is situated in a lovely Old Vicarage, giving the practice a warm, welcoming and characterful environment.

We are continuing to invest in our premises and services, with expansion works due to be underway to provide additional clinical rooms. This increased capacity will support the continued development of our team and the services we offer to our local community.
