Are you passionate about pharmaceutical science and eager to inspire the next generation of pharmacists? The University of Lincoln is seeking a Lecturer in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Science) to join our collaborative team.

About

The Role

You will provide educational leadership and deliver teaching across our established Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences programmes, including the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) and BSc Pharmaceutical Sciences. Working within a growing, supportive team, you’ll have access to excellent teaching and research facilities and the opportunity to make a significant impact on student experience and the future of pharmacy education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver teaching across a range of modules and support students through tutoring and academic guidance.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the advancement of pharmaceutical science education.
  • Participate in assessments, simulations, OSCEs, and student support activities.
  • Engage in scholarly activity and professional practice to enhance the School’s reputation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, professional partners, and external networks.
  • Support student placements and projects, and act as an academic tutor.
  • Contribute to the wider mission of the University through outreach, open days, and committee participation.
Person Specification Essential
  • Relevant honours degree or equivalent.
  • Commitment to or possession of a HE teaching qualification (HE PGCE or HEA fellowship).
  • Interdisciplinary work relevant to the Department.
  • Ability to develop excellent teaching and assessment skills.
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development and support students academically.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as well as within a team.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, flexibility, adaptability, and good interpersonal skills.
Desirable
  • GPhC registration.
  • Working towards or completed PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in Higher Education teaching and curriculum development.
  • Ability to use digital learning management systems.
