Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Location: Lincoln
Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Lincoln
. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with children who display challenging behaviour and who are passionate about making a positive difference in young learners’ lives.

You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support pupils with behavioural needs, helping them regulate emotions, engage in learning, and develop positive coping strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Implement behaviour support plans and strategies consistently
  • Support emotional regulation and social development
  • Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Record and report on progress and behavioural improvements
  • Uphold safeguarding and school behaviour policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach

    The ability to remain resilient and consistent in challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
