About the role

We’re excited to welcome confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join our team, supporting secondary schools across Lincoln and the surrounding areas on a flexible supply basis.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom when a teacher is absent and supervise pupils in completing pre-prepared work. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a calm, focused and productive learning environment, ensuring students stay on task and behave appropriately.

The role involves working with Key Stage 3 and 4 students (ages 11–16) across a range of subjects, supporting pupils of varying abilities and needs. You will not be required to plan lessons, but you will guide students through set tasks, manage behaviour effectively and provide feedback to the school at the end of the day.

About the school/us

At Heart of Supply, we’re proud to work with a variety of local schools across Lincoln and the surrounding areas, from nurturing primary classrooms to dynamic secondary environments, and specialist SEND provisions to inclusive academy trusts. Our partner schools are welcoming, well-resourced, and committed to creating positive spaces for both pupils and staff. Whether you’re looking to broaden your experience or find your perfect-fit setting, you’ll have the chance to step into a range of roles that suit your strengths, with our support every step of the way.

What you will need:

* Degree and a minimum of 6 weeks' recent UK secondary classroom experience required

* Strong communication skills and confidence leading a classroom

* A calm, professional approach to behaviour management

* Ability to follow lesson plans and keep pupils engaged in their learning

* Flexibility to work across a range of schools and subjects

* A genuine interest in education and supporting young people’s progress

We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.

What we offer you:

* Competitive weekly PAYE pay

* Roles tailored to your lifestyle - day-to-day or longer term

* Access to exclusive opportunities in great local schools

* A friendly, experienced consultant who listens

* Free CPD and ongoing professional development

* A simple ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme

* A warm, supportive agency that genuinely cares about you and your journey
