SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

Right Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist education setting in Lincoln for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential both in and out of the classroom.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, positive and engaging learning environment where pupils can develop confidence, independence and key life skills.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Assist the class teacher with learning activities and classroom preparation
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Help implement individual support plans and interventions
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Support pupils with personal care where required
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational or care setting
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs
  • Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Is patient, caring and resilient
  • Works effectively as part of a team
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
