A high-achieving Academy in Lincoln is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented French Teacher to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages department from September. The successful candidate will teach French across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

Students follow a broad curriculum covering grammar, vocabulary, translation, literature, and the culture of French‑speaking countries. You will prepare students for GCSE and A‑Level French examinations while encouraging them to communicate confidently and apply their language skills in authentic contexts.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through language clubs, cultural events, educational visits, exchange opportunities, and enrichment activities that inspire a lifelong enthusiasm for modern foreign languages.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching French at secondary level
• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
• Strong subject knowledge of the French language and Francophone culture
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A‑Level French
• Ability to teach a second language such as Spanish or German
• Experience organising language enrichment activities or overseas visits
• A proven track record of delivering strong student outcomes
