- Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver engaging, practical and creative lessons that inspire a love of music.
- Develop students' performance, composition and listening skills.
- Encourage participation in musical activities both within and beyond the classroom.
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Contribute to concerts, performances and extracurricular music activities where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have a degree in Music or a related discipline.
- Possess strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for music education.
- Be confident teaching both practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum.
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Inspire, challenge and motivate students of all abilities.
- Be committed to raising standards and achieving excellent outcomes for young people.
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible and professional approach to teaching.
