We are working with a welcoming and well‑regarded secondary school in Lincoln that is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join their successful department on a part‑time basis. This role offers the opportunity to teach General Science across KS3 and GCSE, helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking skills and a genuine enthusiasm for scientific discovery.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Teacher of Science, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across KS3 and GCSE.
- Encourage pupils to develop a deeper understanding of scientific concepts and real‑world applications.
- Plan and deliver creative lessons that cater for students of varying abilities.
- Monitor, assess and track student progress effectively.
- Differentiate learning to ensure every pupil can achieve their full potential.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement and achievement.
- Support students in their preparation for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
- Contribute positively to the ongoing success of the Science department.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.
- Possesses strong subject knowledge across KS3 and GCSE Science.
- Delivers engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students.
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Has excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Is committed to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.
- Works effectively within a collaborative department team.
- Has a genuine passion for Science education and student success.
