The University of Lincoln is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Social Work professional to join our Social Work team within the School of Health and Care Sciences on a part-time, fixed-term basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered Social Worker who is passionate about supporting the development of future practitioners. Whether you are already working within higher education or are considering a move into academia for the first time, we would be delighted to hear from you.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and ambitious team delivering the BSc (Hons) Social Work Practice and BSc (Hons) Social Work Apprenticeship programmes. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality Social Work education whilst maintaining strong links with contemporary professional practice.

You will contribute to teaching, assessment, academic tutoring and practice learning support across the Social Work curriculum, helping students to develop the knowledge, skills, values and professional behaviours required for registration with Social Work England. Working closely with colleagues, students and practice partners, you will help to deliver an excellent student experience and support the continued development of Social Work education at Lincoln.

If you are an experienced practitioner with a passion for supporting others to learn and develop, we will provide the support, mentorship and professional development needed to help you build confidence and expertise within an academic environment.

The School of Health and Care Sciences is a vibrant interdisciplinary community with strong partnerships across health, social care and the voluntary sector. Alongside teaching responsibilities, there will be opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, workforce development activities, educational contract work, scholarly activity and knowledge exchange initiatives.

• Be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Have contemporary Social Work practice experience.
• Be committed to supporting student learning and professional development.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for developing Social Work education and supporting the future workforce.

Previous experience of teaching in higher education is desirable but not essential. We particularly welcome applications from experienced practitioners seeking to develop an academic career alongside their professional interests.
