The Lincoln School of Creative Arts & Design at the University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Technical Theatre & Stage Management to teach across the BA (Hons) Technical Theatre & Stage Management programme.

As a new member of staff at the University of Lincoln the successful candidate will be situated within the School of Creative Arts & Design, part of the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. The School currently offers Undergraduate programmes across a diverse range of creative disciplines including Animation, Dance, Drama & Theatre, Film Production, Fine Art, Music, Sound & Music Production, and Technical Theatre & Stage Management.

The School also offers a suite of postgraduate programmes and MPhil/PhD opportunities. School resources include the Lincoln Arts Centre, featuring rehearsal studios and a 444-seat public theatre venue. The School has a growing reputation of international dimensions and a rich legacy of developing creative practitioners who work across regional, national and international contexts.

The University of Lincoln's BA (Hons) Technical Theatre & Stage Management degree combines industry-informed teaching with hands‑on practical learning, enabling students to develop expertise across technical theatre, production management and stage management disciplines. The programme has established a strong reputation for preparing graduates for careers in theatre, live events, entertainment and the wider creative industries through a curriculum that blends technical skills, creative problem‑solving and professional practice.

As a Teaching Fellow in Technical Theatre & Stage Management, your primary duties will be to teach and assess student work across a range of practical and theoretical modules. You will have specialist knowledge of contemporary technical theatre practice and substantial industry experience, with the ability to deliver teaching in areas such as lighting, sound, video, technical systems, production technology and related technical theatre disciplines.

The successful candidate will also contribute to supporting student productions, project‑based learning and industry engagement activities.

You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development and enhancement, undertake appropriate academic administration and recruitment activities, and act as a personal tutor supporting student achievement and progression. In addition, you may bring expertise in emerging production technologies, digital performance systems, immersive experiences, live event technologies or related specialist areas that further enhance the student experience.
