GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a school in Lincoln. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young people and wants to gain valuable experience within a school environment.
You will work alongside teachers and other support staff, helping students overcome barriers to learning and encouraging them to become more confident and independent learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils during lessons and classroom activities
Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support
Assist teachers with preparing resources and activities
Encourage students to participate and stay engaged with their learning
Support positive behaviour and help create a calm classroom environment
Provide additional support to pupils with SEND where required
Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
A patient, caring, and encouraging approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to adapt to different students and learning needs
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people's development
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
