Apprentice Teaching Assistant - The Meadows Primary School

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant (preferably with experience of working in a Primary or Early Years setting) to join our dedicated and creative team. This post is offered on a temporary basis for 2 years, pending a review of the needs of the school.

We are seeking an individual who:

What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?

The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Teaching Assistant Level 3.

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.

This is a Monthly Release programme, which means you will attend Lincoln College, 1 day per month, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.

GCSE in:

English and Maths (grade A*/9 – C/4)

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, medical and reference checks. All Pre-employment checks undertaken are in line with "Keeping Children Safe in Education".

We currently have a position for 32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (ie: term time plus 5 INSET days, which may be twilight sessions or full days).

£13,520 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Salary: £16,640 to £26,436.80, depending on your age National Minimum Wage Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab) Company-paid training options to gain your forklift license (age-appropriate). Bonus after 6-month probation

Salary: £17,472 to £27,758.64, depending on your age
