About the Role- Teaching Business Studies within an academically ambitious secondary school setting
- Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and structured lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential
- Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress to inform teaching and learning
- Setting challenging learning objectives and maintaining high expectations for all students
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL and high prior attainers
- Creating a positive and purposeful learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour, achievement and personal development
- Using a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and support student development
- Preparing reports and communicating effectively with parents, carers and colleagues
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through meetings, events, enrichment activities and extra-curricular opportunities
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to ongoing school improvement
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
- Supporting the school’s ethos, values and commitment to providing an inclusive and ambitious education for all students

To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Experience of teaching Business Studies, or relevant curriculum subjects, within a British curriculum secondary school setting.
- A secure knowledge and understanding of the Business Studies curriculum.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
