Systems Engineer – Defence Modelling & Simulation

Location: United Kingdom (with travel required)

Security Clearance: SC - Open for NATO Dual Nationalities

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Systems Engineer with experience in Defence Modelling and Simulation (M&S). This is a hands‑on role offering the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge simulation solutions for Defence applications. The successful candidate will support the full systems engineering lifecycle, integrate simulation products with mission systems, and engage with both internal teams and external customers.

This role combines technical expertise with customer engagement, providing a unique opportunity to influence strategy, shape projects, and contribute to a growing, high-performance team.

• Support activity across the systems engineering lifecycle for Defence M&S projects
• Integrate simulation products with other applications using open standards and APIs
• Act as a System Design Authority on applicable projects
• Support customer-facing activities, including technical demonstrations and enquiries
• Contribute to project documentation, bid support, and proposal submissions
• Work in secure environments and comply with Defence and export regulations
• Keep abreast of emerging and disruptive technologies to enhance project delivery

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Defence Modelling and Simulation or a related technical field
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, computer architectures, and network design (virtualisation, IP communications, routing protocols)
• Experience with LVC (Live, Virtual, Constructive) systems or simulation interoperability
• Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of Defence procurement and compliance procedures
• Ability to travel within the UK and overseas
• Relevant degree in Simulation, Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences
• Prior experience in MoD or Defence industry projects
• Familiarity with secure environments and national security protocols
