Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background working on Civil Engineering and Groundworks packages?

Approach Personnel are proud to be partnered with a regional, growing, civil engineering contractor in Lincoln, who are currently looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in the commercial success of our projects, by ensuring that all projects are completed on budget and ensuring all cost saving measures are in place without diminishing quality.

What are we looking for?

* Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on Civil Engineering/Groundworks projects.

* Ideally, a Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.

* Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.

* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

* Pre-contract review of tender documents, performing quantity take-offs from drawings to confirm the amount of each item required for the successful project delivery.

* Cost control measures, reporting monthly figures for profit and loss (P&L) with a full understanding of the scope of the works required to be carried out within the projects.

* Working closely with clients, commercial and contract delivery teams on NEC contracts and others.

* Regular site visits to ensure works are running as expected and that all quantities are recorded.
