Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of electrical engineers, contractors and subcontractors across a range of projects in Long Bennington.
The successful candidate will provide strong technical and operational leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage electrical engineers, contractors and subcontractors, ensuring targets and project objectives are achieved.
* Oversee the day-to-day delivery of electrical contracts and work streams.
* Ensure all electrical certification is completed accurately and processed within required timescales.
* Monitor team productivity and resolve task-related issues or production blockers.
* Manage the efficient use of labour, materials, plant and equipment.
* Ensure all works comply with health & safety requirements, project specifications and site-specific conditions.
* Conduct audits, inspections and reports in line with compliance procedures.
* Maintain and monitor NICEIC electrical compliance across projects, including annual inspections.
* Support the successful delivery of projects from an electrical and technical perspective.
* Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure high standards of service and project delivery.
Candidate Requirements
* JIB Gold Card or equivalent NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification.
* Minimum 5 years' experience within the electrical industry.
* C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong understanding of electrical compliance and inspection requirements.
* Experience with NICEIC and external auditing processes.
* Solar PV installation experience would be advantageous.
* Good IT skills and confidence using standard computer systems.
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
