Field Service Engineer

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established local business that designs, manufactures and tests industrial turbochargers used in the power generation, marine and rail traction industries.

• Extensive travel to carry out service, repair and investigation work to our products throughout the UK and Worldwide
• Required to work in the Napier facility in Lincoln as support for training and to meet business needs if required

• Recognised time served Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3

• Knowledge of turbocharger operation and medium speed diesel engines would be advantageous

• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• Good timekeeping
• Good awareness of a safe working environment and duties to self and others within the company's HSE policy
• Ability to use calibrated measuring equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret
• Full drivers license and passport are essential
• Able to be the face of Napier at site with our customers and uphold Napier's standing in the industry
