Controls engineer / Automation Design Engineer
Location:
Lincoln- hybrid (2-3 days office)
Contract:
6 months - Inside IR35
Hours:
37 hours per week
Rate:
Umb: £64 - £87 p/h / PAYE : £48 - £65 p/h PAYE (depending on experience)
BPSS check required
Our client is a global leader in energy technology and are currently looking for an experienced Controls / Automation Design Engineer to join an engineering team based at Lincoln, on an initial 6-month contract.
The successful Controls / Automation Design Engineer will have strong AutoCAD experience and ideally a good understanding of automation Control systems, PLC Systems and control panel design.
Key Responsibilities
As a Controls system engineer / Automation controls Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Creating a new AutoCAD Symbol Library for Controls and Automation.
- Developing symbols for Control Logix, PCS7, STEP 7 TIA, Fire & Gas equipment, vibration monitoring, terminals and circuit breakers.
- Creating and updating standard designs and templates within AutoCAD.
- Converting standard junction box designs into AutoCAD.
- Supporting the standardisation of controls and automation engineering designs.
