M & E Project Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Project Engineer to join a tier 1 civil engineering contractor working on major water infrastructure projects across the Lincoln and Norfolk area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background and experience working within a construction, infrastructure or water environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the M&E/MEICA aspects of the project, working closely with the wider project team to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

As M&E Project Engineer, you will:

• Oversee the M&E/MEICA elements of water infrastructure projects
• Provide technical support throughout project delivery
• Work closely with Site Managers, Site Engineers and the wider project team
• Coordinate M&E subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors
• Monitor progress and ensure works are delivered to programme
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Assist with quality assurance, inspections and compliance
• Support the resolution of technical and site-based issues
• Ensure M&E works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and H&S requirements
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities where required
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation

The successful candidate will have:

• A background as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer
• Previous experience overseeing M&E / MEICA works within construction or infrastructure
• Experience working on water or wastewater projects would be highly advantageous
• A good understanding of electrical systems and M&E installation
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and working with multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong technical, organisational and communication skills
• CSCS White Card or relevant equivalent
