You'll become a trusted member of the site leadership team, providing financial insight that supports operational decision-making, improves profitability and drives business performance. This role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships across a manufacturing environment, influencing senior stakeholders and translating financial information into practical actions. The Opportunity Working closely with both operational and finance leadership, you'll be responsible for providing commercial and financial support across a busy manufacturing site.
You'll play a key role in helping leaders understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and make informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with site leadership to improve financial and operational performance. Deliver meaningful analysis around costs, margins and manufacturing performance. Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, ensuring robust financial control. Analyse trends and variances, identifying root causes and recommending improvements. Lead product costing activities and support standard costing processes. Work alongside central finance teams to deliver consistent reporting and planning. Support capital expenditure projects and investment appraisals.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations. Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders, providing challenge and support where appropriate. About You We're looking for someone who can build credibility with operational teams and influence decision-making across the business. You'll ideally have:
Experience as a Finance Business Partner or within an operational finance role. Previous exposure to manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced production environment. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret financial data and turn it into actionable insight. Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders. Product costing, manufacturing accounting or operational reporting experience. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be in the final stages). We'd also be keen to hear from experienced Management Accountants or Cost Accountants who have developed strong business partnering skills and are looking to step into a broader, more commercially focused position.
